With the station wagon safely in a storage locker in Legana, we are down to just Eva’s hatchback, which is nice to drive around in. We moved out of the motel, and booked a couple of nights at the Quality Hotel Colonial in Launceston, so at least we would be somewhere nice for Eva’s birthday. Next we had a planned trip to the East coast starting with a booking for few nights in Bicheno. After that the plan was to keep going down the east coast and then go down to Hobart for a while.
Eva started to feel sick after we got to the Colonial, something she ate, maybe combined with the stress of the past few weeks. I had to cancel the booking at the Queechy Motel in Bicheno, and they refused to refund $150 from what we had paid, which was another annoyance we didn’t need. With Eva in bed sick for a couple of days, I managed to get a place for 6 nights at another place in Launceston, a fully self contained apartment at Apartments at York Mansions. We have been there a couple of nights now, Eva is feeling much better, and we can prepare our own meals as well as go out to eat if we want. It’s the most relaxed we have been in the past week, we can just sit back and veg if we want to, and we are close to everything if we need to go out. We may take a walk up to Cascade Gorge tomorrow is Eva is feeling up to it.
We are here till the 11th, so if nothing is happening with the property title, I guess we will go down to Hobart after this.
