The cleanup continues here after the fallout from the snow event. I managed to get all the branches that were down or hanging around the front and side yards into a couple of big piles, and then started in on the back. Most of what was hanging over the fences back there has been cut away apart from one section right at the back. The big branches are all cut up and most of the leftovers have been burnt, so all I have left is some stuff that I dragged away from the fence. Yesterday I worked most of the day on it till it started to drizzle, but by then I was too tired anyway. Today I had an easy day, I didn’t really realise how tired I was, so all I’ve done is go to lunch at the Legana Tavern, fill up with petrol, and get a few things at the supermarket. Tomorrow if I feel up to it we will go to Launceston and Kings Meadows to get a few things at the supermarkets there.
The photos show where I have been cutting up and stacking the logs that came down, the fire where I was burning everywhere, and how clear the area is starting to look now. I would have continued but ran out of energy and now we will have rain for the next 3 or 4 days. It’s so nice to have a place where I can burn branches and dead wood like this.

We got all our quotes in for the solar panel system, and decided on the one we wanted. I paid them a 10% deposit, now they apply for the authority to connect to the grid, and then install the panels. I expect it will be 4 to 6 weeks before we see anything going up. After that we get a new meter that can do the feed in tariff.
We have had another case of Covid-19 here in Tasmania, over at Burnie in the north west. A 60 year old man who had been flown by care flight to Melbourne for surgery tested positive after he was returned to hospital in Burnie. As a precaution they have quarantined a couple of the health care people who were with him. Nothing else here, but over in Victoria it continues and now over 360 people in Australia have died from it, up from the 104 just before this outbreak. There are now 9,527 dead in Texas, over 166,000 in the U.S. and no end in sight.
