About

After selling our house in Mount Eliza, VIC in 2016, we decided to rent in Mornington for a few years while we saved money and looked for another place. After 3 years we settled on a 3 acre property in Legana, Tasmania, near where I used to live decades ago. It was affordable, rural but close to everything, and a nice, quiet location, plus the traffic in Tassie is a dream compared to Victoria. We made the move in December 2019, just in time to avoid the bushfires and floods, and landed in the perfect spot to sit out the Covid-19 pandemic.

This is just a bit of information on what you need to know about buying a property here, transferring accounts, vehicles, addresses, etc. as well as all the fun we are having on our “lifestyle property” – I’m forbidden from calling it a farm!
