It’s nice to have the double glazed sliding doors in the kitchen diner and living room but we never got around to sorting out some sort of curtains. We had someone look at them last week and we are going for curtains in both places as well as putting roller blinds in the bay windows in the bedroom upstairs, the media room, and the living room. We will also get new curtains for the bedroom and living room.
We both had our covid boosters yesterday, no ill effects. It was the Pfizer Monovalent Omicron XBB1.5 version which is supposed to be much better for the current variants circulating here at the moment, and it was free. I think that will see us through for the next six months at least till they decide if there will be a winter booster, and also our flu shots. There was not much of an announcement about this being available, you had to really be paying attention. There is almost nothing in the news about Covid now, just the occasional mention about the current wave of infections. If you want information you really have to deliberately look for it. I have one site bookmarked that I can see the weekly statistics for the different states here, although some have taken to reporting weekly averages instead of actual numbers. In Tasmania they are reporting 3 or 4 deaths per week after a very long period of no change at all.
Anyway we are both happy to have the booster and will hopefully not have to deal with it for a while.
